A friendly letter, in which Carreño apologizes for the delay in responding to her correspondent's letter asking for a recommendation to a hotel in Berlin, explaining that her young daughter has been seriously ill for a number of weeks with a high fever. "How sorry I am not to be in Berlin! I also miss the great pleasure of seeing you, and perhaps also would have been able to serve you a bit of cicerone. I am so sorry about it! Why don't you come here during your travels?"Very slightly stained; creased at folds.
