Woldemar, a French violinist and composer, is said to have been a student of Antonio Lolli (ca. 1725-1802). "One cannot speak of a Lolli school, although Giornovichi, Woldemar and others are often cited as his pupils... Hanslick described Lolli fittingly as ‘the forerunner and prototype of Paganini’."
