The variations K Anh. 26.05 were commonly but erroneously ascribed to Mozart; they are actually op. 6 of Anton Eberl (1765-1807). The work is based on the theme "Freundin sanfter Herzenstriebe" from the singspiel "Der Gutsherr" by Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf.
