Like other successful composers of the era, Léhar was close to Maria Jeritza (1887-1982), the most celebrated soprano of the final years of the Habsburg empire. She appeared regularly at the Metropolitan opera in New York from 1921 on; it is possible that the inscription is specific to her return to Vienna after the end of the Met's season.
Franz Xaver Setzer was a famous Viennese portrait photographer regularly active at the Salzburg Festival.
