Cametti was an Italian writer on music, composer, and keyboard performer. "His major musicological contributions, based on important archival research, concerned Roman music history, particularly that of the theatre. His compositions are predominantly sacred; they include a requiem, motets, litanies, antiphons and vespers. Many of his manuscripts now belong to the Accademia di S Cecilia."
