Richard Coeur de Lion, in three acts to a libretto by Michel-Jean Sedaine after an anonymous account in the Bibliothèque universelle des romans, ii (July 1776), pp.163–94, was first performed in Paris at the Comédie-Italienne (Salle Favart) on October 21, 1784, with a later revision in four acts first performed in Paris at Fontainebleau on October 25, 1785.
