Boulanger, father of French composer and pedagogue Nadia Boulanger (1887-1979), was a singing treacher at the Conservatoire. Best known for his comic operas, he won the Prix de Rome in 1836. First performed at the Opéra-Comique in 1854, Les Sabots was his most popular work. Item #29047
