Caruso opened the Met's 1914/15 season on November 16 as Riccardo in Un ballo in maschera; the performance was conducted by Toscanini in what was his final first night at the Met. He went on to sing in Carmen, La Gioconda, Pagliacci, Aida, Manon, and Gli Ugonotti with the Met that year. Item #29413
