Lauber was a Swiss composer, best-known for his compositions written for military celebrations and various festivals. A pupil of Bruckner, he studied in Germany, Austria, and France, and was President of the Swiss Composers' Association.
The festival of La Buche Bourdonne took place in 1932 in Tramelon, Switzerland with Lauber as musical director.
