Notated in ink on card stock within borders rule in black with accompanying calligraphic text. With photographic excerpt from a contemporary publication depicting the cast of the operetta laid down.

Die lustigen Nibelungen was first performed in Vienna on November 12, 1904.

Straus, an Austrian composer and conductor, quite well-known for his operettas and salon music, studied with Grädener on the recommendation of Brahms and then went to Berlin in 1891 as a pupil of Bruch.
