Two engraved pewter music plates for the composer's "Sweet Echo. Madrigal in 5 parts."

The plates represent the first two [of 7] pages of the composition, published in London by the Vincent Music Co. in 1906. Ca. 243 x 167 mm.

With "To this Madrigal was awarded the Madrigal 'Society's' Prize December 1906" engraved to foot of first plate and plate number 3146 engraved to foot of second plate.

Rootham was a noted English composer, organist, and conductor whose career was centered at Cambridge University.
