Corners slightly worn, rubbed, and bumped; wrapper trimmed and slightly soiled; bookseller's handstamp to upper "Musik-Antiquariat Musikmüller ..." Slightly browned; minor tears repaired with clear tape.

Das Musikantenmädel was set to a libretto by Bernhard Buchbinder and premiered in Vienna at Theater in der Josefstadt on February 18, 1910.

Georg Jarno's two most successful operettas were Die Försterchristl (1907) and Das Musikantenmädel (1910). Both gained significant popularity across Europe and the United States. Die Försterchristl had a long run on Broadway and was adapted for film on four separate occasions. Jarno achieved success in musical theatre toward the end of his life and was at the peak of his compositional career when he died in 1920 at age 52.
