Rossi-Lemeni performed all the leading bass roles in major theatres throughout the world, including La Scala, the New York Metropolitan, and Covent Garden. In his later career, he became known for appearing in contemporary operas, such as Berg's Wozzeck and Britten's Billy Budd.
