With an autograph inscription in ink by the composer to upper portion of upper wrapper signed "Aless. Bustini" and dated Rome, December 28, 1905.

From the collection of Italian conductor, vocal coach, and close associate of Puccini and Mascagni, Luigi Ricci (1893-1981).

Slightly worn; moderately browned, heavier to edges. Inscription slightly smeared.

First Edition. Rare (no copies located outside Italy).

Bustini studied at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sgambati (piano), Renzi (organ), and Falchi (composition), graduating in 1897. He was subsequently appointed to its faculty, and was its president from 1952 to 1964.
