Perini made her debut at La Scala in 1908 as Anacoana in Franchetti's Cristoforo Colombo and at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Lola in Cavalleria rusticana in 1915, where she sang until 1924, returning to Italy in the following year to sing primarily at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome.
