This aria is not the work of the same name in Zingarelli's Pirro, re d'Epiro, first performed in Milan at the Teatro alla Scala on 26 December 1791); it may, however, be an alternate version of that aria, possibly composed by Zingarelli or a composer in his circle.

Comedic stuttering or stammering motifs make an appearance in the 17th and 18th measures.
