From Nina, scored for vocal quartet of two sopranos, alto, and bass (Nina, Susanna, Pastore, and Conte, respectively), accompanied by oboes, bassoons, clarinets, horns, and strings.

Eight measures of Susanna's part (pp. 43-45) rewritten in later pencil on blank stave in treble clef (rather than soprano). The copyist has not added the requisite stems and triple-dashes to some instrumental tremolo passages.

Occasional moderate staining and soiling; minor loss to blank outer margin of first page of music; small holes to p. 124 affecting two noteheads; holes to pp. 125 and 127 affecting blank staves.

Nina, o sia La pazza per amore, to a libretto by Carpani after Marsollier des Vivetières with additions by Lorenzi, was first performed in Casertaat S Leucio on 25 June 1789.

Paisiello "was one of the most successful and influential opera composers of the late 18th century. ... After his return to Naples in 1784 Paisiello sought to simplify his melodies still further. His aim was to obtain a sentimental expressiveness by the simplest technical means.
