Collection of copyist musical manuscripts of aria arrangments for voice and harp, all unrecorded

Oblong quarto (218 x 277 mm). Contemporary paper over carta rustica. Notated in various hands (designated A, B, and C) on 10-stave rastrum-ruled paper.

With "For [?]G. R Allen from ..."? in contemporary manuscript ink to upper outer corner of upper.

Scored for voice and harp, with cancellation and correction in harp part, 15v.

1) Anfossi. Air arangeés[!] pour la Harpe Par Mur. Roggero. Two works with titles as follows: "Con grata voce amabile"; "D'ogni penoso affanno". We have not identified a composer or location for the second work. Hand A.

Con grata voce amabile from I viaggiatori felici, to a libretto by Livigni, was first performed in Venice at the Teatro S Samuele in the autumn of 1780.

Se qualcun mi dirá from I finti eredi, to a libretto by Bertati, first performed in St Petersburg at the Bol′shoy on 19/30 October 1785.

Boards stained and soiled with inkstains to lower portions. Occasional minor stains, mainly to blank margins; some creasing to upper outer corners in latter half of volume.

All arrangements apparently unrecorded.

The harp part is skillfully and attractively conceived, employing a variety of arpeggio figures, melodic filigree, and spacious passages in parallel tenths.
